The Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico was awarded a grant from Cummins Natural Gas Engines for the purchase of a brand new 2013 Kenworth refrigerated truck, complete with Cummins' signature natural gas engine. Several business in our community also donated to match the grant and make history for FBENM with our first new truck ever! We thank you!!

Motorcycle riders from all over the Clovis community take a ride through our warehouse during the 2011 Holiday Canned Food Drive. The ride through the warehouse has become a tradition and many riders look forward to it! After the warehouse tour, they ride through town gathering food donations left at the curb for pick up. In September, FBENM's funding allowed us to expand our office by connecting our front room, donated by Cannon Federal Credit Union, to the main building. We needed the space and we thank CFCU for giving it to us!

Do you know someone in Curry or Roosevelt County who is housebound and worried about how they are going to get their next meal? If so, call us @ 575-763-6130 for an application for our Special Helpings Program.

Special Helpings is a program intended to reach out to seniors or housebound individuals in our local communities who are at risk of losing their independence due to a limited ability to shop and prepare meals for themselves. Each month, a box of food items prepared by volunteers is delivered to each program client. The goal of the program is to help keep housebound individuals independent as long as possible by providing easy-to-prepare foods while assuring that they receive an opportunity to have social contact. This program is not intended to be a complete resource for nutrition, but as a supplement to other meal resources such as Meals On Wheels, church and family assistance.
